Los Angeles experienced citywide festivities after the Dodgers clinched a thrilling seven-match World Series championship. Supporters across the globe joined Angelenos in celebration, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a team has achieved consecutive championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Massive Turnout
Los Angeles area events featured a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a ticketed rally at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Social media videos show thousands of Los Angeles residents packing downtown streets, many carrying handmade banners and team flags. The team was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the masses, hoisting the championship trophy high.
