Klopp, following a hugely successful nine-season tenure which brought Champions League success and the Reds’ first league title in 30 years, has since taken on roles as head of global soccer within the Red Bull organization and providing guidance to Germany's league body.
Supporters’ Hopes and His Frank Comments
The club claimed England's top flight last season, though countless followers who adore the manager would welcome the notion that he may eventually return. Speaking candidly, he explained to the podcast host: “I declared I won't manage a different club within the country. Therefore if then it’s Liverpool...absolutely. Theoretically it’s possible.”
“At 58 years old, so I could make the decision later on, who knows. Do I have to make the decision today? If so, I wouldn't return. Fortunately, I don’t have to do that. I'll wait and observe what the future brings.”
Conditions for a Comeback
Pressed on the specific conditions must arise to draw him back to management, he confessed he feels no immediate pull for a comeback. “It's unclear to me, I love what I do right now,” he said. “I don’t miss coaching; I don’t miss standing in the rain for two-and-a-half or three hours; I'm glad to skip press conferences repeatedly each week or doing numerous chats weekly.
“No nostalgia for the changing area as a dressing room, yet sharing a meal alongside the squad talking freely, that’s nice. Success was frequent thus frequently great spirits in the building. I can still hear Van Dijk's laughter ringing in my ears to illustrate.”
Praise for His Successor
He spoke highly for his successor, acknowledging his role for the adjustments that won the league last term. The team has suffered a string of losses in every contest following significant transfers, but he rubbished the notion that it might signal a slump.
“[Liverpool have] an incredible striker in Flo[rian] Wirtz, doubters will be silenced with negative comments. A remarkable prospect. [Hugo] Ekitike, incredible player. It’s a really good balanced team. Fans shouldn't fret regarding the Reds, they will be fine.”

“Who can fill the void of somebody like Diogo? This isn't just regarding the player himself, it's his character. It's hard to picture the squad without him in it. I find it difficult to discuss regarding this. It was an incredible shock for his teammates also. No one within the club will ever use it for poor performances but it is the situation. You walk in a dressing room where his spirit remains. Handling this individually is not easy. Unbearable.”
