The former president's Granddaughter Receives Professional Advice from Golf Legend Woods Before Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star boasts considerable social media presence
Kai Trump will have multiple well-known cheerleaders when she begins her LPGA debut this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is related to Donald Trump, was granted a tournament invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
The former president, someone who loves golf, owns numerous golf courses and often matches against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I shouldn't elaborate but we play tight competitions," she stated.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, who won't be present, counseled her: "Just don't get nervous."
"My grandpa essentially advised me to compete and have fun," she added.
"From my perspective, he's simply an ordinary family member. He can't make it for the tournament. He's busy with running the country, making him rather occupied."
While still amateur, the golfer has competed in just three tournaments this year and has position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
But she's able to seek guidance from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with her mother.
"He represents the best player worldwide," Kai stated.
"Furthermore, he's an even better person. He advised me to play, have fun, and go with the flow."
She'll challenge several most prominent players in professional golf at this tournament, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers mentioned that Kai's presence exposes golf to different demographics, specifically with younger fans.
Kai maintains substantial online presence and just introduced an exclusive fashion and living brand.
She begins at late afternoon GMT.
