White House Decries 'Democrat Fabrication' as Additional Jeffrey Epstein Photos Released

Democratic lawmakers have made public a additional set of what they termed "alarming" photographs from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

The opening batch of 19 images—some of which have been previously circulated—combined with another 70 issued later on Friday represent a minuscule portion of the approximately 100,000 images provided to the House oversight committee, which is looking into the conduct and connections of Epstein.

The disgraced financier died by an apparent self-inflicted death in a New York prison cell in 2019 after being accused of sex-trafficking crimes.

High-Profile Individuals in the Images

Included in the high-profile individuals visible in the first release are celebrities such as film director Woody Allen; Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin business group.

Donald Trump is pictured in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are redacted.

White House Response

The White House responded to the release in a statement, alleging Democrats of selectively "choosing" the pictures for political purposes and to "seek to establish a false account."

"This Democratic fabrication against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked," a White House spokesperson said, maintaining that "the current government has done more for Epstein's survivors than Democrats ever have by repeatedly calling for disclosure, releasing thousands of pages of papers, and calling for more inquiries into Epstein's Democrat friends."

Democratic Lawmaker Remarks

The photographs were disclosed lacking captions, but as stated by a Democratic representative from California and senior member of the oversight committee, they elicit additional doubts about Epstein's associations with affluent people.

"It is time to halt this White House obfuscation and deliver justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his well-connected allies," he stated in a release.

The disclosure of these materials occurs alongside the oversight committee continuing its probe into the affair.
